I was initially diagnosed through the ambulatory care pathway and later admitted via A&E for the same condition and scheduled for surgery within 48 hours. I was kept very well informed by the surgical and medical teams, and received excellent, compassionate care from the nursing staff. I had a minor concern over some aspects of student trainee procedure that was dealt with swiftly by senior nursing staff. Overall I feel I was very well managed and cared for through a traumatic and painful episode.
