Anything else?
They tried to fob me off with a cheap test which in my case was not appropriate to discount a serious, life threatening condititon. Luckily I had a cardiologist in the family who told me to insist on a CT scan. Urgent referrals for neurology by GP who was concerned about a TIA were booked with a six week waiting list! In the meantime I couldn't even stand up and feel my legs, had extreme pain in my arms, was dizzy, had numbness in my face and serious problems with blood pressure difference between arms. From one day to the next I couldn't work or look after myself and I am not old. Anything which doesn't fit the obvious diagnosis and needs extra tests results in a discharge, if you're breathing - you're fit to go home. I was relaying information via my relative to tell them what they needed to do next......unbelievable. No information is passed from one doctor to another and at one point they were about to do the same test twice. The medical care in this hospital is appalling. It will surely not be the case under the new system. In the meantime, I have had to pay for tests myself (not cheap) and yet there are some I cannot have privately. God help all who have to have anything to do with that place.
