My decision has always been to go to Kdderminster Hospital for my knee replacement and I knew it was the right decision for alot of reasons. I had to have a knee replacement on the 8th July 2013 and was put at ease from such friendly staff. I had a wonderful top class surgeon and Anaethetist who with his team were so reassuring and made sure I was completely relaxed when I had my epidural. All these things matter when you are having an operation. Ward 1 was a lovely environment to be in so clean and everything you need to make your stay after an operation comfortable. The staff made sure your personal and physical needs were met and I certainly felt in safe hands the whole time. I did have a bad reaction to codeine and the ward doctor and the nurse certainly gave me such care and treatment to solve the problem. Even came back after their working hours to check that I was ok. Showing so much empathy within their professional role on the ward. I can say that the whole team on the ward went more than the extra mile and I could not pick out anyone particular because they all was a credit to the NHS. I really hope the Health Minister rewards this hospital because they deserve more funding for a wonderful example of how hospitals are not all gloom and doom. I never heard a moan and they worked together really well and therefore I feel my overall experience was really positive whch can only help with your recovery from an operation. Thank you!
