A week ago my dad was admitted to A&E with an undiagnosed illness He received comprehensive immediate care and within a few hours was admitted to the Acute Ward. At all times he was fully monitored and we, the family were never made to feel we were in the way as we were obviously very worried and wanted to stay at all times. He was transferred to Ward 8 after a couple of days. All the way through he received top care and attention, and a horrible situation was made better by the way he was treated at all times. He was particularly impressed by all aspects of care he received from the cleaner, domestic staff and nurses, doctors and all other staff. He could not compliment them enough. His stay was made as comfortable as possible and he also absolutely loved the food he kept going on what fantastic food there was. All staff were friendly but professional at all times. This is his experience of Ward 8 and thank god he came home today. He literally has them to thank for his life, and we his family will always be indebted to the NHS. We know they have bad press but I can assure you all our views on the NHS has been passed on to all and friends and family and are very relieved and proud of the NHS.
