"Birth experience"

About: Milton Keynes Hospital

Anything else?

I gave birth to my son 18/7/13 and had a fantastic experience on the labour ward. I had a long labour (36 hours from my waters breaking to birth) but was only in hospital for about 15 hours in labour. The care I received was fantastic! I had three midwives while I was there, all very nice and helpful and tried to do everything they could to make me comfortable. I had to have an IV to speed up labour as I wasn't progressing well so had to be on a monitor for about 9 hours. This meant I couldn't get up and so I had an epidural. The midwife had to stay with me all the time I was on the monitor and she was just wonderful, I couldn't have asked for better care. Anyone who is not sure about having their birth here should know MK maternity department has been refurbished and is now very well staffed. I would not hesitate to come here again!

Thank you very much for your positive comments regarding the Maternity Unit at the hospital. It is always very much appreciated by staff when patients and their families take the time to give feedback on their experience and your comments will be shared with all staff involved. Milton Keynes Hospital would like to apologise for the length of time it has taken to reply. Thank you.
