"lack of water fountains"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

Anything else?

Visited the fracture clinic yesterday (the hottest day of the year) and the hospital was baking hot I was very surprised that the hospital did not provide water fountains when mentioned this to a health care assistant I was told that I could buy a drink from the shop in the main reception ( what if I had attended the hospital with no money) I would have been admitted to accident and emergency with dehydration

Dear richie scott,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of visiting University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

I am very sorry to hear that you were not directed to a water fountain during your visit to the Fracture Clinic. I can confirm that there are 3 water fountains in the Fracture Clinic one of which is in the main waiting area.

Please accept my apologies on behalf of the Fracture Clinic Team.

Michelle Whittingham, Fracture Clinic Sister
