I have had a sore throat/tight chest since August 2012. After having different types of medication with no success, my doctor arranged for a hospital appointment, and this was in late March.
At this appointment a tube was passed up my nose to check my throat and chest. No problem could be found, but I was advised to sip six to eight glasses of water per day. Should this not work, then I was to make another hospital appointment and the next time I would be anesthetised so that they could pass something down my throat.
This appointment was made through my doctor, and attended in mid July. All that happened was a repeat of my first visit with the same results.
This visit was a total waste of the doctors, hospitals personnel and my time, plus associated costs.
I have also spoken to PALS about this.
"Visit to hospital was a waste of time and money"
