On more than one occasion I have tried to get an appointment with the surgery, every single time I have had to take a day off work so that I am able to phone them at 8. 30 on the dot. As yet, there has never been an appointment available for me on the same day!
I can honestly say it would be quicker to re-train then choose this as your doctors.
