"Bi-lateral total knee replacement"

About: The Great Western Hospital

Anything else?

I had my bi-lateral total knee replacement on the second of April 2013, leading up to my operation i had physio for six weeks at the knee clinic, which helped prepare me for the operation. My admission went well, and all contact with the two Surgeons who were to operate on my legs was very informative and friendly. While being prepared to go into the theatre we had a chat and a laugh, which helped make me feel more relaxed. Post operation my treatment in the recovery room and transfer to the ward went well. Meeting the nurses that was going to look after me was pleasing, couldnt of asked for a better bunch, even on the shift changes, and at meal times, all was fine. I was treated with dignity and politeness, and no task was too much trouble for them. The physio staff that helped prepare me for my going home were also pleasant and understanding. Recovery is ongoing and with further physio work I am doing well with my two new knees. Thank you to all concerned in my treatment. I recomend this hospital.

It’s great news to hear that you're recovering so well. Hopefully with continued physio work, all will be well soon. I'll make sure that your comments are passed on to the teams here. I'm sure they'll be glad to know how much their hard work is appreciated.
