"I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of service"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I didn't know that Specsavers were linked with the NHS hearing service. I also wasn't aware TRAQS was!

I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of service regarding the initial contact and actually having an appointment set up.

Being offered and fitted with a hearing aid on the first appointment was excellent. The follow up three weeks later was also very good, as another hearing aid for my "better but not perfect" ear was obtained.

The level of service and aftercare seems to be first class, so well done to all concerned.

Thank you.

Thank you for your comments.

Specsavers has become an additional option within the choice of providers offered to patients for audiology referrals. I am pleased that your test was dealt with very professionally and you have had a speedy and satisfactory outcome to your referral.

Please accept my apologises that you were not informed about the TRAQS service. There is a TRAQS patient leaflet which is issued to all GP Practices/GPs. Each patient referred to TRAQS by their GP should be given one of these yellow leaflets. The leaflet explains the service, the steps in the process and contains contact telephone numbers in TRAQS should you wish to discuss your appointment.

Nevertheless, many thanks for taking the time to forward your comments.
