"Why would there be no parking at a hospital?"

About: Bridgnorth Hospital Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

Very long waiting time at GP. Was not explained when I came in, so I just sat there with no idea of the queue or who or how many people were ahead of me. I just sat there wondering what was happening.

Most GP's appear to simply want me out of their office.

TRAQS didn't explain why I couldn't book an appointment at Telford or Shrewsbury, just that there weren't any.

Bridgnorth is okay but the appointment says there is no parking so I am not sure what I am meant to do with my car. Why would there be no parking at a hospital? Is everyone meant to walk?

Thank you for taking the time to provide TRAQS with feedback regarding your referral.

I am sorry to note your dissatisfaction with the delays experienced with your GP Practice and the service provided by TRAQS. I am, of course, unable to comment on any delay you suffered at your Practice but I would like to respond to your comment regarding TRAQS.

TRAQS is all about patient choice including location and speed of service. It may well be that there were no bookable appointments available at Telford or Shrewsbury Hospitals at the time you were contacted. However, if your preference had been for one of those hospitals and a clinic was available you would have been given the option to be placed onto a waiting list. As your feedback is anonymous if you would like to contact me on 01952 580441, I would be happy to look into your hospital choices.

With regard to Bridgnorth Hospital I can confirm that there is indeed parking facilities at the hospital (which require a token on leaving), and there are 2 public pay and display car parks immediately adjacent to the hospital. If you have access to the internet and google the hospital you will find comprehensive directions and a map to locate the parking facilities.

Once again, many thanks for your comments.
