What I liked

I received a knee replacement operation at the beginning of January 2008 and wished to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff involved at the Orthopaedic Department. From my initial consultation with the surgeon to my appointment with the pre-op team and the staff at Ward B2 who took care of me. Everything was explained to me and every question I had was answered clearly and precisely. I was never in any doubt as to why a certain procedure was taking place. I left hospital 4 days after my surgery and was then in the care of the DOCS team who attended to me at home. They were excellent and made sure I was comfortable and made sure I had everything I needed. My experience was made much more pleasant and much less frightening than it could have been and I am grateful to all concerned. I am well on the way to a complete recovery and send my thanks.
