"Breast Care Clinic"

About: Tameside General Hospital

Anything else?

I have had cause to visit the one stop breast clinic with my mum recently & I have to say that I was overwhelmed by the respectful and compassionate way in which she was helped. The staff at the appointment Saturday 6th July were very considerate and caring since my mum was undergoing quite invasive and worrying tests. The news wasnt good in that she was diagnosed with quite advanced breast cancer. The way she was treated and at the follow up appointment with the Consultant and the Macmillan Nurse and the staff running the clinic the following Wednesday was excellent. Well done to all the staff, I felt a well deserved praise was due especially in the light of all the negative publicity Tameside Hospital has had recently. Finally a very big thank you to all the aforementioned staff. This is just the begining of a long and worrying journey for us but we feel confident you will look after our precious Mum.
