"outstanding maternity care"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

Anything else?

During my second birth the midwife recognised that I was slow to labour towards the end and transferred me out of the birth unit. This was very wise as despite few indications, my baby went into distress and wasn't breathing. Due to her quick thinking my baby received immediate help and following a short stay in special care is now fine. The skbu and the ward staff were all exceptional and with their support I have been able to breastfeed successfully in difficult circumstances, despite having bottle fed my first child. Fantastic facilities.

Hello, many thanks for taking the time to share this feedback with us, especially as I'm sure you must have your hands full! I'm sorry to hear your baby was born in such difficult circumstances, but glad that you were pleased with the care you and your baby received. I will pass your comments onto the midwives at Gloucestershire Royal. Many thanks again for getting in touch and we wish you all the best for the future.
