In late June my partner was admitted to Cheltenham General Hospital with suspected Viral Meningitis.
Call was placed by the visiting GP to the ambulance service. An ambulance arrived within minutes; the crew assessed and treated pain symptoms, and moved my partner to the ambulance. I work for GHNHSFT and stayed in touch with a colleague regarding the status of the divert that was in place from CGH to Gloucester Royal Hospital, and the crew also checked in with base and kindly agreed to take us to CGH instead of GRH as the divert had just been stood down a few minutes before we left.
The expertise, care and compassion both my partner and I were treated with were exemplary, and I am more than happy to provide further details so that the crew can be identified and credit be given.
