After waiting weeks, months, even a year for my operation, I was delighted when the surgeon agreed to operate. Due to a previous heart condition, the procedure had been classified as high risk but I felt that I could have complete confidence in the team and this confidence has been justified. The staff on ward 4 were particularly outstanding in their care and consideration even offering me a pair of ear plugs to help me sleep. Since the 1960s I have a number of operations and I honestly feel that Hartlepool hospital would top my poll for care and treatment . Thank you all very much indeed
