"Broken ankle!"

About: Stratton Hospital

Anything else?

I suffered a nasty fall, last Friday, at the far end of Millook beach and feared I had broken my ankle (I heard it crack). A couple of surfer friends helped my off the beach and took me and my very swolen ankle to Stratton MIU. I was seen within ten minutes of arriving and was given pain killers in less than two minutes. I was quickly Xrayed and put in a temporary cast with no waiting at all. I can't tell you the relief I felt at not having to make the long, painful, trip to Barnstaple... I am so impressed by the quality of care I received. One of the nurses who did such a great job on my initial visit even came out to see how I was getting on following my fracture clinic appointment. Thank you all, you were amazing.
