Too many bad apples. Firstly I am a genuine patient, not a patient who also works at BRI. Don’t get me wrong there are some lovely hard working people, and thank god we have somewhere we can go in an emergency. But that is were my prise is going to end. Had nothing but metaphorical doors slammed in my face over last few month, would appear this is normal though should you question a Dr. Have had to listen to complete jaw dropping medical nonsense by a senior Dr there, which alone destroyed my confidence in aspects of BRI. When you are treated with great dignity and respect by some nurses and general staff, then you are confronted by the above nonsense, then it is an insult. I feel very sorry for some of the nice people who probably have to take the backlash from such incompetent Dr.s

Thank you for your comments, you appear to have had a very mixed quality of service. For us to improve the care we provide it is useful to obtain as much information as possible. We have a Patient Advisory and Liasion service (PALs) who's staff may be able to assist you further in exploring the issues you have had to deal with and trying to find suitable solutions. Their telephone number is 01274 364021. If you feel the issues are now passed then please be assured that there are many new initiatives aimed at ensuring patients have a positive experience; a newly formed Patient Experience team and Privacy and Dignity lead for example. There are also many ways of becoming involved in the development of services within the Trust through Foundation Trust membership; details are available on the website.
