"Accident and Emergency dept"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Anything else?

I took my son to Preston's A&E dept on Monday 8 July. When I arrived it was busy and I expected to be kept waiting for hours. From arriving to leaving it only took 1.5 hours and that included an x-ray and a plaster cast for a broken wrist!! The staff on reception, the triage nurse, x-ray technician, doctors and nurses were all fantastic, they explained every step to me and made my son feel relaxed and well looked after. Usually the only people to write on these sites are to complain, I just wanted to thank the staff in A&E, you all do a worthwhile job!!!

Thanks for your comments. We'll ensure the Emergency Department team receives your feedback. Hearing about positive experiences really motivates our staff, and helps us identify where we’re getting things right so we can share good practice across all of our services.
