"Fracture not discovered"

About: Warrington Hospital

Anything else?

I arrived at the hospital around 5 pm on Saturday 6th July having fallen on my right foot which I heard crack and which was swollen and painful. I was unable to put any weight on it. After 3 - 4 hours and 4 x rays I was told there was nothing broken so just to walk on it as normal. It was too painful to do this but I did try for 3 days before seeing my GP back at home in Canterbury. 2 further x rays clearly showed a fractured metatarsal and I was told i should NOT have tried to put any weight on it. Was the fracture visible on your x rays and not recognized correctly or should different/better X-rays have been taken?
