"ENT Department Make sure you don't need constant..."

About: Tameside General Hospital

Anything else?

I was sent to the ENT Department from my doctor and was first seen in 02/13 because of a on going ear problem from constant ear infections. I have been told at the ENT Department it is ecsma and was given antibiotic cream into my ear. This went on until May 13 when the consultant said I had two holes in the ear cannal and bone could be seen. I was sent for a CT Scan 23 of May and was given antibiotic tablets and antibiotic cream was put into my ear. I was next seen on the 20th June with no CT Scan result, given antibiotic cream in to my ear again and antibiotic tablets. The consultant seemed stressed and tired by appointments being double booked as was mine. The consultant couldn't remember is I had been given antibiotic tablets. The consultant was not pleasant towards me that day and it was the first time I had taken someone with me. I was told by the consultant to book an appointment to see them in 3 weeks but the receptionist said the consultant was fully booked. So I contacted PALS and they managed to get me an appointment within the 3 weeks. But now that has been cancelled until the 8th August and that will be 7 weeks since I last seen the consultant and 11 weeks since my CT Scan. In all this time I am in a lot of pain and my jaw is getting painful too with swelling to my face. This is not good enough at all to be left in pain where this infection is causing more problems and I am worried and in a lot of pain. It is July 13 now and I have had this ear problem since Febuary 13.
