I arrived at A&E having accompanied my friends in an accident on the M25. From the moment I walked in a nurse came to see if I was ok. I had previously been checked by a paramedic and was told I was ok but the nurse insisted I be checked out as I had a sore neck.
I was immediately seen and told that to be on the safe side I was to lie down and have a collar on until they were sure I had no neck damage. The nurses that looked after me and the doctors and the porters were all fantastic. I was reassured by everyone that looked after me as I lay and waited.
I was checked out and given a CT scan and an x-ray.
Fortunately I was ok and and suffered just bruises from the seatbelt, whiplash and a fractured toe. I was sent home completely reassured that I was ok. The care that I received was second to none. The doctor spent time to talk to me, tell me what was happening and to reassure me. He was absolutely fantastic.
