"Asking about heart monitor 24 hour results"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I have asked about heart monitor 24hr results but got nowhere. Information is given re medication etc. , but next time its as if no information was given. Now am down for 6day test.

As it happens over the years I have improved tremendously and apart from last Sept/Oct when had chest infection have been ok as far as I am aware. Yes each time I see another doctor some are a bit off hand others alright. Its tough if you have had a heart attack, my husband did and was just sent home to get on with his scared feelings.

My son at 38yrs was in another area and was given loads of reabilitation to help him deal with after effects, . Even so when all of a sudden your on loads of medication its a worry and then the side effect have to be dealt with which can be a problem for most. I am lucky as hardly need any, last October solved the problem by eventually using angina spray (in spite of no pain) which solved bad spells at once. Its not easy for doctors to sort out and tricky when they see a different patient each time.

Thank you for contacting the Trust, however I am sorry that the information in relation to your results / follow up has been lacking. Can I request that you contact PALS who will assist you in addressing the areas of concern for you.

Kind regards,

John Goodenough

Director of Nursing
