I slipped in the bath and cut my eye badly, and on being taken to the A&E was impressed with the care taken and the exquisite job the doctor did on my stitches. The guy has a future in cosmetic surgery.The other staff, including reception, not only reassured me but also my extremely anxious husband, and we didn't have to wait very long either. Later, when my own doctors' office couldn't find an appropriate appointment time for me to remove the stitches, I went back and they took them out for me too. It healed fast and looks and feels fine now, thanks Southend Hospital A&E
