On Monday I received a call asking me to attend for a scan on the Wednesday at 11.45am.I arrived at the West Building as instructed only to find that I was actually booking in on the wrong day and that I was also booked into the wrong building for the type of scan I needed! The lady I dealt with was unable to "squeeze" me in and made another appointment for Thursday at 12.00 noon. On leaving the building doors I received a phone call from my daughter to say that the MRI dept. had just phoned our home to confirm my appointment on Thursday at 11.50 am! My husband took time off from work to take me to the hospital. We travelled approx.13miles each way and paid £2.00 to park the car. I have cancelled my appointment and will be going private. Another expense I should not have to pay just because of people's incompetence.
