What I liked

I was admitted for orthopaedic surgery but due to a unforseen circumstance it had to be cancelled after 20 hours. I must say the treatment and genuine sympathy I received for the delay was beyond the call of duty and the staff in the Joint Replacement Unit were fabulous always making sure I was kept informed of the situation and was always assured that the first priority was myself. I cant praise the Hospital enough for the level of care I was given at all times.

I am now rebooked for the operation and look forward to a nice relaxed stay.

What could be improved

I think that some areas of the A&E dept could be cleaner as I found quite a lot of dried blood on the floor in the waiting area. Also maybe a minor injuries area away from the department could be set up for the people who really dont need to be in the A&E at all due to alcohol and drugs.
