"Consultant was abrupt"

About: The Princess Royal Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I didn't think the consultant listened properly or explained things properly.

I also thought she was a bit abrupt.

I am really sorry that you felt the consultant was abrupt. We are currently updating our customer service training and standards and this is a great example for us to use in that training to remind our staff that this is so important for our patients. The basic principle should be to put ourselves in your shoes, and treat you as we would wish to be treated ourselves.
