"I have just came home from 5 days ..."

What I liked

I have just came home from 5 days in Basildon Hosp and the service from every memeber of staff from porters right through to consultant's was excellent. In A&E I was seen within 5 minutes assessed and admitted although it was a very busy friday not once did my care suffer for this. The nurses were very reassuring and kept myself and husband up to date on everything they were doing and explaining why. I was moved to MAU and yet again the staff were above the call of duty. I was then moved to William Harvey Ward which i have heard some horror stories about but to my suprise I could not find fault with either the staff who worked very hard or the side room I had. The food wasnt the best but your in hospital not a 5* restaurant it was healthy and good for you. I would like to thank the staff who have too work very hard with often little thanks for what they do. I received great care and if there was any rudness it from some of the patients!!!.

What could be improved

Prehaps the food if you havent got much of an appetite its not very appealing.
