"Cystoscopy Procedure"

About: Barnsley Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Underwent this procedure at Barnsley General Hospital in late January 2012. Approximately 24hrs later developed rigor (septiseamia). Symptoms were freezing, shaking in and out of consciousness for days. 48hrs after "op" started bleeding through my penis, not just discolouration, clots the size of a 10 pence piece for approximately 1 year. Had no backup whatsoever from BGH nor was I prescribed effective medication. All I was offered was a repeat cystoscopy by at least 4 consultants, which I obviously declined. I was told by a Doctor that I could very well die from this condition. Luckily pulled through. Complaints system non-existent. In my opinion administration staff regarding the above needs investigating.
