"Broken Arm"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

Anything else?

I arrived at A&E with my arm in a plaster cast after a ski-ing accident in Norway. I was seen promptly by the nurse, who was polite, sensitive and caring. She was also very informative. I was admitted shortly after and spent three days in the hospital. I can't fault anything. The care was great. My room was spotless and the food (I went for the Asian and Caribbean choices) was great. My only negative comment about Kings is about some of the people working on reception, who fail to make eye contact and there are no pleasantries. If they would just look up and acknowledge that you are waiting, that would be great but apart from this very minor criticism, my short stay was great.

Thank you for your positive comments about your care in the Emergency Department and later on one of our wards. I note your comments about reception staff and will of course pass them on. I am sorry that they were not as welcoming as they should be in acknowledging your arrival. Regards, Cathy Varley Patient Advice and Liaison Manager 0203 299 4826 cathy.varley@nhs.net
