I had surgery 10 days ago and was in for one night. From booking in to discharge the arrangements were well handled and the staff were fantastic. I felt very supported and all the staff couldn't have been more caring. I had had a difficult few weeks prior to booking the surgery trying to get appointments arranged with clinics and consultants in the main hospital and so was expecting more poor service but was delighted and relieved when I got into the surgicenter. I had heard the bad reviews so wasn't sure what to expect but was more than happy with the center. It was clean, quiet and well managed . I had my own room for recovery with adjoining toilet and staff always came immediately and kindly if I needed help. I got a follow up call as promised two days after and the nurses were very supportive. I would reassure anyone going in not to worry, youre in good hands. Unfortunately now that I'm back dealing with the general hospital system again it seems its back to frustrating calls to try to get seen.
