"Dressing for ulcer on leg "

About: Newham General Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as a relative),

The district nurses were supposed to phone me prior to visiting my mum. She is 88 years old, is housebound and cannot open the door. However this did not happen even though I told them several times to phone before they arrived. One nurse was very nice and was very friendly to my mum but the rest of them were not so friendly. Another issue is contact. There is no direct number to call and I found this very frustrating and time consuming. Every time you called, the message would be passed on for someone to call you back which did not always happen. Overall a very poor service that needs to be improved
