"Nursing"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

Anything else?

The NHS nursing staff are 80% good at their job. The auxillary staff are not really up to the job and the bank nurses are pretty useless. Many time I asked for something, medically, and it was sometimes over an hour before I got any attention. Also you are told that you are to be discharged, arrange for collection only to be told that I had to wait upto 5 hour for the discharge medication. It is also a fast turn out hospital. E.g. I had a new knee and I was out the next day given a bottle of morphine for the pain. The same with a shoulder operation.
