We visited the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading today with our 3 year old son who had to have 3 teeth removed. We where to say the least extremely worried and apprehensive about the situation. Mainly that it would be 'just another patient' situation . It could not have been further from the truth. We were met at the entrance to the ward by a happy faced nurse who introduced her self and asked us our child's name. We where then shown to a lovely playroom which was as well equipped as our nursery, clean and just what a young child needs to relax. Right the way through the whole proceedure the nurses where so completely dedicated to our child's peace of mind and made every effort to make the experience as painless as possible for our boy. There was lots of double checking of our sons details before any medicine was provided, which certainly gives us as parents confidence in the people caring for our son. We where so worried before our visit but after our experience have absolutely every confidence and respect for the superb service provided by the staff. I certainly hope that a member of management read our comments and the staff in the Kempton ward get some recognition for the wonderful job they all did today. Our thanks again to you all.
