"Day Case Surgery - Ward 5"

An absolutely outstanding service provided by all the staff on the ward.

I wasn't nervous about the operation - If anything, I was looking forward to it and getting on the mend! From the moment I arrived at the hospital at 7: 15AM, the staff were incredibly polite, caring and professional. You could have a laugh with them and every 5 minutes, they'd make sure you were ok, even before the operation. The nurse had obviously twigged I was reading a car magazine and went off to collect some more without asking me which was nice.

When I went in to the theatre reception, the receptionist was lovely. Incredibly busy but still would take time out to make sure you were alright even though I'm just lying there waiting.

With it being a general anaesthetic, I obviously can't remember anything of the operation but the whole experience at Stepping Hill was superb. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of an operation.

Thank you to everyone on ward 5 for their superb help and work. It's because of them that if anything I enjoyed the whole experience.
