What could be improved

I was in the hospital for 5 days and during that time my family had to bring in food as I was, on one occasion not fed for a day, apart from one small jelly at lunch time. I am an 88 year old gentleman and have difficulty seeing and also washing myself. However, I arrived at the hospital washed and clothed and left the hospital without having a wash which, as I had pneumonia, I couldn't manage. If it wasn't for my family taking care of me, I might just as well have been left on the pavements outside and been treated better.
