Anything else?
Yesterday I went to have a Gastroscopy. I must admit I was dreading it after being told how horrendous it was and I shouldn't have it done. When I arrived the staff were brilliant. My appointment was on time. I was first taken into the department by a lovely nurse. She explained what would happen ,took loads of medical history and put me at ease. When I was called into the room where it was to be done , I felt at ease at once. The staff were light hearted & making jokes, really lovely. I was on my own and wanted to drive home so I had the throat spray. The actual Gastroscopy it's self is not that pleasant but it isn't that bad either. The staff were very kind and helpful reassuring me all through. A big thank you to the doctor and his assistants. You were all brilliant. I had no after effects at all, not even a sore throat . I drove home and had my evening meal. One thing I would say is listen & do what you are told. Do not eat anything the day you have it done.
