"Disgraceful lack of communication and care"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

Anything else?

What a shambles: - seven hours to put a drip in - nurses only know the patients by bed numbers not names (apparently they're not trusted with a list with names on in case they lose it!) - pointless ringing the ward as an update could be about anyone - inappropriate food dumped in front of elderly patients who can't eat it - no help to drink - no water offered - medication for drip signed out and left on locker for 24 hours - nurses don't seem to bother to read patient notes - entries in notes not consistent with care given (probably why the nurses don't bother with them!) - person in charge knew nothing about the patient (not even which bed) - different people in charge every day
