"Praise for Staff at Kent Ward, Canterbury"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

My Mother, aged 87, was taken to the ward by ambulance, suffering from a suspected thrombosis in her arm. Living in Germany, it was difficult for me to get to Canterbury to see for myself just exactly what was going on.

I called the ward, and was immediately put in touch with one of the doctors treating my mother. Naturally, the doctor could not divulge private information on the phone, but was able to allay my worse fears.

A few days later I was able to visit my mother and see for myself what first-class care she was receiving. I was myself in a German hospital following an operation last year. Let me tell you...Kent and Canterbury is miles better! A big thanks to the 'heroes' working on Kent ward, on behalf of my mother and my brothers. Keep up the sterling work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with feedback, we are always pleased to hear about the fantastic care that our staff provide. It must have been particularly stressful for you finding out information from a distance. I do hope your mother continues to recover.
