"Amazing experience "

I recently gave birth to my second child on 22/06. After having such a hard time on my first, episiotomy, failed ventouse, forceps & emergency spinal block its fair to say I was scared about my second labour.

Arriving at B5 at 20: 35 to find I was 6cm was amazing! At 9pm was handover and by 9: 15 I had a lovely student midwife, Ceri introducing herself to me. My husband popped out for a cigarette and she stayed with me to whole time, talking to me, keeping me calm, offering water. After an examination she told me once my waters had gone I'd be having my baby. My waters popped at 21: 55 and began pushing. My beautiful Henry was born at 22: 12. Neither Ceri or midwife Marcia rushed us and allowed us to enjoy our baby. Throughout the night Ceri checked on us and when her shift ended she came to say goodbye and wished us luck.

After handover we had another amazing midwife, Tracey. She was constantly there offering advice and listening to my concerns. She constantly chased up my test results (I'm rheusus neg and my son is pos), towards the end of her shift she suggested I go home and return to the ward the next day for my jab so I could get home to my other son. The next day she came to check how we were doing and how our first night at home went.

Without Ceri, Marcia and Tracey supporting myself, my husband and son I would not have had the most amazing experience every mother should have. I would like to thank them
