My father who has reduced brain function following a serious illness 15 years ago has just spent a week in Colchester General suffering with cellulitis. From his diagnosis in the EAU where Helen took excellent care of us all to his stay on Nayland ward where my father was treated with such kindness and respect at all times.
All the staff and patients treated him with such understanding, patience and respect despite often having to repeat things several times as my fathers short term memory is poor. He was made to feel very special by everyone, from the lovely staff who brought the food/drinks to his doctor.
Thank you to his nurses Jenny and Styeni for remaining so dedicated despite sometimes being rushed of your feet! Thank you to the patients on Nayland, The two Mikes, Alan and John for keeping an eye on our lovely dad. Thanks for singing along!
