"Felt very reassured by 111"

I was feeling very poorly and disorientated but I didn’t want to go to A&E. I was suffering from gastroenteritis and couldn’t get an appointment at my doctors. The options in my area are now very limited since the local drop in centre closed.

I remembered hearing about 111 and decided to give them a call. They were very kind, asked lots of questions and made me feel very reassured. They told me to call my surgery and tell them that 111 said that I need an appointment urgently.

I don’t think the receptionist realised I could hear as she commented to a colleague “You won’t believe what 111 are telling them now.” Thankfully I did get my appointment after all.
