"All in all, a good experience"

About: The Princess Royal Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

Went to appointments, asked at reception if this was the correct department. Receptionist said yes, take a seat in out-patients. However, I was not directed to out-patients and had asked several times where it was. Eventually, I found the right area.

From then on, we were greeted by a nurse who was very efficient to carry out an eye test examination.

Later, saw a doctor who carried out a thorough examination and informed me what the problem was. The doctor was very professional.

I have to have a further appointment which will be sent by post.

All in all, a good experience.

Thank you for letting us know that overall you had a good experience, but I am sorry to hear that at the outset you did not receive good information about where to go for your appointment. This is an important learning point for our reception staff.
