"Care for my 6 year old daughter"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

Anything else?

Having arrived at A&E on Sunday evening with my six year old daughter I was very concerned about the amount of pain that she was in. She had trapped three fingers in a door that had been fully close on them and in my panic I had rushed her into the car without giving her pain relief. The waiting area was full and my stomach turned at the thought of her sitting for hours in such pain. Once registered I spoke to the secretary to ask if anything could be done to get my daughter medicine. She sent me straight through to a nurse who immediately gave her some pain relief and sent me immediately, for an x-ray. They confirmed she had two broken bones that were promptly strapped up and we were in and out within the hour. The nurse had been wonderful and my daughter was made up when presented with a bravery certificate! To the staff in A&E thank you for giving my daughter a good first hospital experience.
