"My wife was followed up and treated ..."

About: Hillingdon Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My wife was followed up and treated at hillingdon hospital during her pregnancy. We had a mixture of experiances (good and bad) during the past year.

This hospital is excellent for a planned procedure like ceaserian section (my wife had one). The staff was very helpful and knew what they were doing.

Everything went like clockwork.

We are very pleased with the care that we recieved in the labour ward, theatre and inpatient midwifery care.

I would recommend this hospital for a planned procedure.

What could be improved

We had to visit the hospital on two occassions for emergencies...

Both occassions we were let down.

A& E took exactly 4 hours before we got a doctor to see us.

Emergency admission at labour ward with extremely severe epigastric pain (due to big baby pushing the stomach) took another 4 hours before any pain relief was offered.Admit 7:00pm,

SHO at 8:00pm did not see the patient as they were going home. The next one did not come till 11:00pm for rounds even after (documented) requests from midwifery staff.

So Emergencies... I would go to another hospital...
