"My stay in thr hospital after having Abdominal..."

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Anything else?

I were referred to urology by my gp after sharp abdominal pains close to my kidney. I had been through a lot of uti's but this time were clear of any infection. After admittance I were reviewed by a doctor and shortly after had a blood sample followed by an X-ray. During the night I were put on an antibiotic drip by the doctor. This was one of the things I dreaded as I don't like needled but the doctor was very gentle. The nurses on the ward were very friendl and as I were one of the younger people to be admitted I were put on a separate side room which made me happy. Wasnt happy with the food at all as it didnt cater for my needs. Even after filling out a menu on my second day I still didn't receive my choice of food. Previously when I stayed the ward were cleaned every day and the sheets were changed but this time my sheets were changed once despite having blood on from my needle and slightly cleaned 3 days later I were discharged with medication and a follow up ultrasound. I never were made aware of the actual reason I were in hospital other than it may be pressure on my kidneys. My ultrasound came back clear as well as the X-ray therefore I don't have a clue whats wrong and I occasionally get the abdominal pain
