Throughout my entire ante-natal care through to my c-section and subsequent care of my baby boy I was incredibly impressed at every stage. My obstetrician knew there were likely to be complications after birth she was incredibly supportive and arranged regular reviews, scans and necessary onward referrals. Prior to the birth we also had consultation with a doctor whose expertise and management of our baby's care was second to none. She gave us every faith that all the necessary arrangements would be put in place for our baby after delivery, ensured a specialist registrar was present at birth and ensured contact had been initiated with experts from other hospitals. After our son was born she came and saw him almost every day and kept us very informed as to his management and it was her excellent management that made it possible for our son to be discharged sooner than initially expected. The ward staff, nurses on the scbu, midwives in the all treated us with incredible kindness and words cannot describe how pleased and grateful we are with Torbay Hospital and its staff. Highly recommended!!
