"FANTASTIC STAFF."

About: St James's University Hospital

Anything else?

My husband was admitted to the A & E, as he has been on numerous occasions and his treatment has always been extremely excellent. That goes for the paramedics and the responder paramedics also they are all absolutely fantastic. The only thing I would like to suggest is that because A & E patients have to be taken in a wheelchair or on a bed to and fro through busy waiting areas for Xrays etc. it would be a nice touch to protect their modesty with a blanket or sheet. Whilst waiting for my husband to have an Xray I lost count of the number of people being wheeled in in their underpants (or not as some cases may be) and short nightgowns without a blanket or sheet to cover them. When I arrived at A & E to see my husband he was laid on a bed in a gown in his underpants and visitors were passing to and fro so I asked for a blanket for him. It is just a little thing but an important one as some patients, like my husband, are too ill to ensure they are covered up.
