Sharing stories of care is the heart of what we do at Care Opinion.
But alongside this narrative (qualitative) feedback, we can also ask for metric (quantitative) data, before or after a stories is shared. We ask about this for each service linked to a story.
For example:
- We ask some general rating questions about each service linked to a story
- In England, we also ask the Friends and Family Test question
- In Scotland, we ask the new Scottish PREMs questions (coming soon!)
So for example, if a story is linked to the ED and the trauma service at a hospital, we will ask for ratings of the ED and also for ratings of the trauma service.
All of these questions are optional and not all authors will complete them.
In addition to the questions asked directly by Care Opinion, you can link Care Opinion to your own survey or feedback systems to create a single "hybrid workflow" from us to you, or from you to us.

How can I access ratings and FFT data?
A summary of this data is displayed on each service page, and includes data from all "descendant services". For example, the summary on a trust or health board page will include the ratings from all services within that organisation.
Subscribers can also:
- run on-demand or scheduled reports of metric data
- access all metric data via our API (coming soon)
