NCVO, 8 All Saints St, London N1 9RL

At Care Opinion we started sharing people's stories about their mental health services back in 2007. At the time the idea was seen as, at best, pointless and, at worst, outright dangerous.

10 years on, there's been a sea-change in attitudes towards the importance of hearing and learning from people's experiences.

In many (but not yet all) services, people's stories about their care are seen as valuable: a source of learning, insight and even improvement. And, more than that, there's a growing understanding that telling your story, and being heard, is a central part of humanising health/care for everyone.

How do people feel about their mental health care?

At this workshop you will:

  • get up to date with the latest features of Care Opinion's award-winning platform, such as data visualisations, smart alerts and story tagging
  • see how we've integrated Talking Mats into Care Opinion to help people with cognitive impairments share their stories
  • hear from NHS trusts using Care Opinion to support quality improvement and service change
  • be able to network with the Care Opinion team and others already using Care Opinion

Who should attend?

  • Service managers and lead clinicians
  • Quality improvement leads
  • User involvement teams
  • Patient experience teams

This informal and friendly event will be a chance to meet the Care Opinion team, and hear from staff in services where online feedback has become a key part of quality improvement, staff learning, culture change and organisational transparency.

Attendance is free, but advance registration is essential as we have limited capacity.

Note: Lunch and refreshments are available from 12 noon, with the programme starting at 1pm.
